This car came from a friend at RSI that got the car from a shop up North somewhere. After looking at the car for a while they determined that they did not want to work on this type of project, so we went and picked it up. Then After looking at the car for awhile it was determined that the motor was in the car, out of line both up and down, in addition to also out of line side to side with the transmission which is in the rear like a C5 Corvette, this caused the drive shaft to explode destroying the floor board, the shifter inside of the car, destroyed the exhaust and cracked the front cover of the transmission. New side motor mounts along with a new 1/4" steel plate rear motor mount/starter mount, were made to correct the out of alingment problems. New headers were made out of larger diameter stainless steel tubing with laser cut ss flanges. The drive shaft was redesigned along with replacing the front tranny cover. When all of the fab work was done the car would not run and the wiring was a mess. The Hemi computer was wired in with nothing but white and blue wires, making diagnosing the problems impossible. A call was made to Mark at Street & Performance to get one of his Hemi wiring harneses so we could start over. We received a call from Tony at Squire Inc. who builds the harneses for Mark, saying that it was not going to be that easy. After talking for a couple of days, it was determined that Tony needed the car to build the harnes, so we took it to him. When we got the car back it ran ok, but the computers were not communicating correctly. The Hemi computer wanted different signals then the Prowler computer required, causing driveabiliy problems. A call was made to Rick at Diagnostics on Wheels, someone who was known to work on crazy problems like we had. With a couple of visits from him we had the car running good, too good when Bernard, the owner, came to drive it, the clutches in the transmission started to slip, so we had the transmission freshened up and the car was delivered to Bernard. A couple of months later Bernard called and said that the rear cover on the transmission was cracked and leaking fluid. Bernard brought the car back and it was determined that the chain stretched due to the extra tourqe and hit the case. A call was made to Dean at Prowler Pro for one of his heavy duty regear sets that should hold the extra power.
